Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef or veal stew chunks
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/2 c. wine vinegar
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • salt to taste
  • pinch or 2 dry mint
  • Italian bread

Directions

    Mix all above ingredients together.

    Marinate meat a minimum of 48 hours; more flavor results in 4 days.

    Turn every 24 hours. Cook on skewers on a grill or broil on rack in oven until done. Place speidies side by side (4 to 6) lengthwise in Italian bread; fold and serve.
