  • FOR THE CAKE:
  • 1/2 cups Salted Butter
  • 1-1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 1-1/4 cup Buttermilk, Sour Milk, Or Just Milk
  • FOR THE CREAM CHEESE SWIRL:
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/2 cups White Sugar
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1-1/2 cup Milk Chocolate Chips

    1. Make the cake: Beat together butter and sugar on high for about 30 seconds, until combined. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time.

    2. Stir together the dry ingredients. Then in 3 alternating additions each, add the flour mixture and the milk. (So add a little milk, then a little flour, then a little milk, then a little flour, etc).

    3. Pour into a greased jelly roll pan. Now prepare the cream cheese swirl. Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and egg white until combined. With a spoon or a pastry bag, drizzle the cream cheese around the cake. Then take a knife and swirl it around (not to much though, it'll start to mix in). Then sprinkle with the chocolate chips.

    4. Bake in a 350°F oven, for about 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool, slice, and serve.
