Ingredients: 1/2 c. margarine, softened; 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed; 1 c. granulated sugar; 2 eggs; 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla; 2 1/2 c. flour; 1 tsp. baking powder; 1 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. salt; 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon; 1/2 tsp. ground cloves; 1 1/4 c. buttermilk

1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/4 c. buttermilk

Beat eggs, butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves.

Beat into butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk.

Beat just until smooth.

Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350°.
