  • 3/4 c. butter or Crisco
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. mace
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • raisins or nuts (optional)

Directions

    Mix together butter, sugars and eggs.

    Mix soda with sour cream and add to egg mixture.
  3. 3
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.

    Add raisins or nuts, if desired.

    Pour batter into cupcake pans.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
