- 2 small cans asparagus tips
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 or more sticks cinnamon
- 2/3 c. dark vinegar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 whole cloves
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Directions

1Drain asparagus and put in a shallow glass serving dish. Measure spices and add to other ingredients in a saucepan.

2Heat slowly until sugar is completely dissolved, 5 to 10 minutes. Pour, while hot, over asparagus.

3Put in refrigerator until ready to serve.

4Drain.

5Best when left for 24 hours.
