- 2 c. shelled nuts (large pieces, halves)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- dash of salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat oven to 275°.

2Toast the nuts by placing on a cookie sheet in oven for 10 minutes.

3Combine sugar, water, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes or until a candy thermometer reads 320°.

4Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Stir until the mixture is cloudy.

5Pour into a buttered platter using 2 forks to separate nut clusters.

6Makes 1 pound.
