- 8 c. chopped or coarsely ground peeled pears (5 1/2 lb.)
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in a large heavy pot.

2Simmer uncovered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until thickened.

3Stir frequently.

4Remove from heat and skim off foam.

5Pour hot jam into hot jars leaving 1/4-inch space.

6Adjust caps.

7Process for 10 minutes in boiling water.
