Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 to 2 tsp. ground cardamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 c. pecan halves

Directions

    Combine first 6 ingredients in large saucepan; stir well. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.

    Cook until soft ball stage (232°).

    Remove from heat. Add pecans and stir until well coated.

    Spread on waxed paper and separate nuts with a fork.

    Yields 2 cups.
