Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium flame with a candy thermometer to thread stage (232°).

    Remove from flame and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2 1/2 cups pecan halves. Stir until pecans are well coated and mixture is creamy.

    Pour onto a greased cookie sheet.

    Separate pecans as they cool.
