- 6 large tart apples, sliced thin
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Roll 1/2 of dough and line a 9-inch pie pan.

2Fill pie shell with sliced apples.

3Mix sugar, spices, salt and lemon juice. Sprinkle over apples.

4Dot with butter.

5Moisten edge of crust with water.

6Roll remaining dough for top crust and cut a few slits to allow steam to escape.

7Fit top crust over apples and seal edge of pie.

8Bake in hot oven (425°) for 30 to 40 minutes.
