Spicy Asparagus Spears

  • 1 pound trimmed asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 peeled and thinly sliced garlic cloves
  • Salt, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

Directions

    Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the asparagus and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until just tender. Drain.

    Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Saute the garlic cloves until softened but not browned. Add the asparagus and sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes. Saute 2 to 3 minutes.
