  • 3 cans kidney beans
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 4 slices bacon
  • dash of nutmeg
  • 1 chopped onion
  • chopped green pepper
  • 1 small can tomatoes
  • 3/4 c. dark brown sugar

Directions

    Cut up bacon and put in bottom of baking dish.
  2. 2
    Drain beans and combine with catsup, nutmeg and Tabasco sauce; put half of them on top of the bacon.
  3. 3
    Sprinkle onion, green pepper and chopped tomatoes over the beans.
  4. 4
    Pour the rest of the beans on top. Sprinkle with the brown sugar and bake at 350° for an hour.
