Spicy Toasted Pecans

- 2 1/2 c. shelled pecans
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Mix sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg together.

2Set aside.

3Beat egg white in large bowl.

4Stir in pecans and coat thoroughly.

5Add sugar mixture and stir pecans until well coated.

6Spread pecans in shallow baking dish or on cookie or pizza pan.

7Spread out as much as possible.

8Bake in moderate oven (350°), stirring frequently until toasted (15 to 20 minutes).

9Pecans should be mostly dry when done.

10Let cool for a few minutes and remove from pan.

11If they stay too long, it's hard to get them off.
