Spinach Bread

  • 2 pkgs. of bakery dough
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 10 oz. pkg frozen, chopped spinach
  • 10 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Allow dough to thaw.

    Cook spinach according to directions on package.

    Drain.

    Remove sausage from casing and brown.
  5. 5
    Roll dough in two large squares.

    Beat egg, (reserving a little) and mix into spinach.

    Spread half spinach, sausage and mozzarella cheese onto each loaf.

    Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

    Fold edges of dough and roll up, sealing ends.

    Brush tops with remaining egg and score tops slightly.

    Allow to rise for 1-2 hours.

    Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes.

    Serve hot. Serves 8.
