Spinach Casserole

  • 8 slices buttered bread
  • 1 frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained
  • 2 c. shredded cheese (sharp)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. water (pour into soup)
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 4 eggs, beaten very well

Directions

    Cut bread slices (5) into cubes into buttered dish.

    Put 1/2 spinach over bread, then 1 cup cheese.

    Repeat this again with remaining ingredients.

    Pour beaten eggs into soup.

    Stir well. Pour onto casserole.

    Sprinkle with paprika.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight for 4 hours.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
