Spinach Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh spinach
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 can bean sprouts
  • 3 to 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced thin
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 1/3 c. red wine vinegar

Directions

    Clean spinach and partially dry.

    Add water chestnuts, bean sprouts, eggs, onion and crumbled bacon.

    Combine sugar, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste, salad oil and vinegar and shake well or put in blender.

    Do not add dressing until just before serving.
