Ingredients

  • 3 c. (8 oz.) rotini or rotelli (uncooked)
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3/4 lb. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped shallots
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. grated lemon peel (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. chopped broccoli (optional)

Directions

    Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, in large skillet, melt butter and oil; saute shrimp, shallots and garlic until almost done.

    Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking until shrimp is tender.

    Stir in the hot cooked macaroni.
