  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. warm water

Directions

    Mix sugar, yeast and water in large bowl, stirring until dissolved.

    Blend in flour and let stand 10 minutes.

    Spoon into greased muffin pan and bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes. Remaining dough will keep 1 week in refrigerator, if covered tightly.
