  • 4 pecks ripe tomatoes, peeled
  • 24 large onions
  • 16 bunches celery
  • 20 green peppers
  • 1/4 lb. celery seed
  • 1/4 lb. mustard seed
  • 1 1/4 gal. vinegar
  • 8 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 lb. uniodized salt

    Chop vegetables.

    Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight; drain.

    Dissolve sugar in vinegar and mix in celery and mustard seed.
