- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. diced onion
- 1 c. diced carrots
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 6 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Brown garlic in hot skillet; add onions and beef.

2Cook until brown, stirring occasionally.

3Add carrots, rice, water and simmer uncovered over low heat about 40 minutes.

4Add potatoes, soy sauce, salt and pepper.

5Continue to simmer until done (about 20 minutes).
