  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 1 c. diced carrots
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 6 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Brown garlic in hot skillet; add onions and beef.

    Cook until brown, stirring occasionally.

    Add carrots, rice, water and simmer uncovered over low heat about 40 minutes.

    Add potatoes, soy sauce, salt and pepper.

    Continue to simmer until done (about 20 minutes).
