- 6 to 8 slices bacon
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced or grated
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 c. milk
- 3 tsp. celery salt
- grated Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Fry bacon, crumble and set aside.

2In approximately 4 cups of water, boil potatoes, carrots and onions until tender.

3Meanwhile, melt butter.

4Add flour and stir until smooth.

5Cook for about 1 minute.

6Add milk all at once, blending until smooth; cook until thickens.

7Add to cooked veggies (do not drain).

8Add bacon.

9Add more milk if needed.

10Garnish soup with grated cheese.
