  • 2 lb. squash
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. grated cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Directions

    Cook pared squash and onion in enough water to cover for 8 to 15 minutes.

    When tender, drain and mash.

    Add other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

    Bake in long, buttered casserole for 1 hour at 300°.
