- 8 yellow squash
- 1 medium onion
- 1 stick butter
- 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 pkg. Captains wafers, crushed
- 1 egg, beaten
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Slice squash and onion; cook in a small amount of water until nearly tender.

2Drain and mash.

3Add cheese, butter, egg and crackers.

4Put into greased dish.

5Top with layer of crushed crackers and shredded cheese.

6Bake at 350° until brown on top (about 15 minutes).
