  • 8 yellow squash
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 stick butter
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pkg. Captains wafers, crushed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Slice squash and onion; cook in a small amount of water until nearly tender.

    Drain and mash.

    Add cheese, butter, egg and crackers.

    Put into greased dish.
  5. 5
    Top with layer of crushed crackers and shredded cheese.

    Bake at 350° until brown on top (about 15 minutes).
