- 2 c. sliced yellow squash
- 1 medium onion, sliced or chopped
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 c. Ritz cracker crumbs or toasted bread crumbs
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 c. milk or water
Directions

1Combine first 4 ingredients and cook until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.

2I use a 6 1/2 x 8-inch baking dish, well-greased.

3Alternate layers of squash and crumbs until all ingredients are used, finishing with crumbs on top.

4Pour mushroom soup over.

5Rinse can with 1/4 cup milk or water and bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

6Serve hot.
