- 1 1/2 lb. squash
- 1 medium onion
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 stick butter
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Cut squash in slices.

2Put in pan with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 stick butter.

3Salt and pepper to taste.

4Cook until tender and drain.

5Mix bread crumbs, beaten egg and sugar, then add to cooked squash.

6Pour into baking dish.

7Cover top with cheese. Bake in 350° oven until cheese melts.
