- 6 medium yellow summer squash
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1 c. grated Cheddar or American cheese
- 8 soda crackers, crumbled
Directions

1Cut squash, then boil until tender; drain and mash.

2Combine all other ingredients, reserving a small amount of cheese and cracker crumbs (about 1/4 cup each).

3Pour mixture into a greased casserole; sprinkle with remaining cheese and cracker crumbs. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes, until brown.
