- 2 lb. squash
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 2 c. grated sharp cheese
- 1 1/2 c. saltine cracker crumbs
- 1 stick melted margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Cook prepared squash (or use canned squash) and onion in enough water to cover for 8 to 15 minutes.

2When tender, drain and mash.

3Add other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

4Bake in a long, buttered casserole dish for 1 hour at 300°.

5Serves 8.
