  • 1/4 cup soy flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 6 tablespoons margarine, room temperature
  • 1 cup winter squash, pureed
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup dried currants or 1 cup raisins

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In separate bowls, combine dry ingredients and wet ingredients. Mix together.

    Stir in chopped nuts and fruits.

    Spray or grease parchment paper and place on a baking sheet or bar pan; spread mixture evenly onto paper.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, or until golden.
