  • 8 c. yellow or zucchini squash, sliced
  • 4 medium onions (or less), sliced
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 1/2 c. pickling salt
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed

    Pour 1/2 cup salt over vegetables in ice water.
