  • 8 c. yellow squash (young and tender), sliced
  • 2 c. onions, sliced and separated into rings
  • 1 Tbsp. salt (heaping)
  • 1 c. green peppers
  • 1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 c. pimento, sliced

    Mix first 3 ingredients and put 1/2 gallon ice cubes on top. Let soak for 1 hour.
