  • 1 c. cooked butternut squash
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
  • 2 egg whites
  • 4 Tbsp. white sugar

Directions

    Mix first 9 ingredients.

    Add to hot milk and cook until it thickens.

    Put in pie shell.

    Beat egg whites and white sugar until stiff.

    Put on top of pie and bake at 400° until light brown.
