  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 1 c. cooked mashed squash
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • small pinch of cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • pat of butter
  • 9-inch pastry shell

    Beat eggs well.

    Add flour, sugar, salt, vanilla and spices. Scald milk.

    Add butter and squash.

    Pour into egg mixture.

    Mix well.

    Pour into 9-inch pastry shell.

    Bake 10 minutes at 375°. Reduce to 350° and bake for 30 more minutes.
