  • 1 small butternut squash
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar (1/2 white and 1/2 brown)
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon extract
  • 1 large can milk
  • 1/2 can pasteurized milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. orange peel

    Peel squash, remove seeds, cut in pieces.

    Boil in salt water, add butter and

    sugar until soft. Beat in mixer well, remove beater and rinse

    under water to wash out any strings. Add butter and

    beat again until light.
