Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 2 c. cooked squash or 3 eggs
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. mace
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Strain squash; add other ingredients and mix thoroughly.

    Pour into pastry lined pie plate and bake in 400° oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350° and bake for 35 minutes.

    Pie is done when knife inserted in center of custard comes out clean.
