- 10 c. squash, chopped
- 4 green peppers or 2 red and 2 green peppers
- 4 large onions
- 1/3 c. salt
- 2 1/4 c. vinegar
- 3 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 2 tsp. celery seed
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Grind the first 3 ingredients; mix with salt.

2Refrigerate overnight.

3Drain and rinse twice.

4Add the remaining ingredients to the first preparation; cook for 30 minutes, stirring often. Put in hot jars and seal.
