Ingredients

  • 1 gal. sliced squash
  • 3/4 c. plain salt (not iodized)
  • 5 c. sugar
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 8 medium onions
  • 2 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Soak squash 3 hours in salt water, then drain.

    Mix squash in remaining ingredients and boil 30 minutes.

    Seal in canning jars.
