Ingredients

  • 1 lb. squash
  • 1 large onion
  • 8 to 10 saltine crackers, crumbled
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Cook squash and onion until tender.

    Drain.

    Add crackers, butter, egg yolks, cheese, milk, salt and pepper.

    Beat egg whites and fold into mixture.

    Place in a greased casserole dish.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until firm and golden.

    Serve while hot.
