  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil or 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies or (4 ounce) can roasted red peppers
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (12 ounce) can beer
  • salt and pepper or Tabasco sauce

Directions

    Add onion, bellpepper, and garlic to pan and cook until vegetables are soft.
