- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 stick oleo or butter, softened
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Sift flour with salt and baking powder.

2Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Add milk all at once and mix just until dough follows fork around bowl.

4Turn out on floured surface; knead gently 1/2 minute.

5Roll or pat 1/2-inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter.

6Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in hot oven (450°) 12 to 15 minutes.

7Makes 16 medium sized biscuits.
