- 3 large potatoes, sliced thick
- 2 to 3 pieces round steak
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 to 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. marjoram
Directions

1Put sliced potatoes in water to soak while browning meat.

2Add the onion and brown slightly.

3Drain potatoes and put potatoes and onion in bottom of casserole.

4Layer the steak on top.

5Mix buttermilk, soup and spices; pour over steak-potato mixture.

6Bake in 350°

7oven for 1 hour, or until meat is tender.
