- 1 pound Sirloin Steak
- 1 whole Yellow Onion
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, Crushed
- 1 Tablespoon Minced Fresh Dill
- 1 whole Baguette
- 2 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 slices Havarti Cheese
- Canola Or Olive Oil, Enough To Slather On The Steak And A Drizzle For Your Skillet
- Salt And Pepper, to taste

1Preheat a skillet to a high heat.

2During this time, rub both sides of the meat with salt, pepper and oil.

3Place meat in the hot skillet and cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side.

4During the process of cooking dont move or flip meat.

5Just let it sizzle on each side.

7To see if its cooked to your preference you can cut into the center of it towards the end of the cook time and peek inside.

8When done to your liking remove it from the skillet to a cutting board and allow it to rest for a moment.

10Slice onion in half then thinly slice the halves so that you have half-rings.

11Heat a separate skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of oil.

12When hot add onions and cook until golden brown.

13To prepare the butter spread, combine butter with crushed garlic and dill in a small bowl.

15Slice your baguette in half sandwich style.

16Spread the herb butter over both of the cut sides of the bread.

17Form the sandwich in this order: a layer of Parmesan cheese, steak, Havarti cheese and caramelized onions.

18Top with the other slice of bread.

19It is best to serve the sandwich while hot and cheese is all melted.
