- 1 medium firm cabbage
- 1/4 c. bacon grease or Wesson oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 c. water
Directions

1Cut cabbage in bite size pieces and set aside.

2Heat oil in a heavy boiler until hot.

3Add cabbage, salt and black pepper.

4Add water.

5Place lid on boiler and cook on high about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and cook until tender, about 10 to 15 minutes total time.

6Don't overcook.
