Ingredients

  • 5 pound shrimp unpeeled and deheaded
  • 1/2 cup parsley sprigs chopped
  • 1/2 cups celery chopped
  • 1/2 cup scallions, spring or green onions chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell peppers chopped
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 2 dash salt and cayenne pepper to taste

Directions

    Put cooking oil and water in heavy pot with cover.

    Add shrimp and cook 10 minutes with cover on.

    Do not open while cooking.

    Open and stir.

    Add rest of ingredients.

    Cover and cook 10 minutes more.

    Leave closed while you make the garlic bread.

    Serve small dish of liquid that shrimp is cooked in to each person with shrimp.

    Dunk bread in liquid and enjoy.
