Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 8 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. cherries
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1 lb. pineapple
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 lb. figs
  • 1 lb. coconut
  • 1 pkg. dates
  • 3 qt. pecans
  • 1 doz. eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder

Directions

    Mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

    Mix dry ingredients. Roll fruit in flour mixture.

    This is a stiff batter.

    Cook in same pan you mixed it in.

    Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350°.

    Stir every 15 minutes.

    Pack in pan while hot.

    You may pour small amount of sherry over top if desired.
