- 3 c. milk
- 1/3 c. long grain rice
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Directions

1In a heavy saucepan bring milk to boiling.

2Stir in uncooked rice and raisins.

3Cover.

4Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 to 40 minutes or until most of the milk is absorbed.

5(Mixture may appear curdled.) Stir in sugar and vanilla.

6Spoon into dessert dishes.

7Sprinkle with nutmeg.

8Serve warm or chilled.
