  • butter or margarine (2 Tbsp. or so, depending on amount of vegetable)
  • cheese (Velveeta or cheese of your choice)
  • crackers (if desired)
  • salt
  • a dash of pepper

    Clean and cut squash; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook until tender. Add butter or margarine and cheese. You can add crackers. Add seasoning at the last minute if you choose to.
