  • 1 white cake mix (1 lb. 2 1/2 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
  • 1 small pkg. strawberry gelatin
  • 1/2 c. liquid (strawberry juice and water to make 1/2 c.)
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries

Directions

    Allow frozen strawberries to thaw.

    Drain juice and divide berries evenly, half for cake and half for icing.

    Save 1 tablespoon juice for icing.

    Add water to remaining juice to make 1/2 cup.

    Put all ingredients in mixing bowl and beat until well mixed.

    Bake in 3 layers.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
