- 2 1/4 c. cake flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 qt. strawberries
- 2 1/2 c. heavy cream
Directions

1Heat oven to 325°.

2Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl.

3Separate eggs.

4Combine the yolks, oil, water and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

5With electric mixer on low, gradually beat yolk mixture into flour mixture until smooth.

6With clean beaters, beat whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form.

7Beat in 1/2 cup sugar until stiff peaks form.

8Fold egg whites into batter.
