  • 8 c. strawberries
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 6 c. sugar

Directions

    Clean and core strawberries.

    Put in cold water.

    Drain, then put the berries, sugar and lemon juice in a 6-quart pot. Stir just to dissolve the sugar. When starts to boil, turn to medium or low heat so it won't boil over. Cook for 1 hour until candy thermometer reads 224°.

    Put into jars.
