  • 3 tsp. strawberry jello (dry)
  • 1/2 tsp. red food coloring
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 qt. well-drained strawberries

    Mix together well the sugar and cornstarch, adding water a little at a time.

    Cook together until thick.

    While hot, add jello, salt, food coloring, then add berries.

    Chill, adding topping of Cool Whip.
